Hey, Hitachi America is not a listed company not Sharp. I could care less here. But the boy tells sandheden.Jeg that the boy has just enough of the lack of feeling in the TV business. I bet $ 50 in a shootout between this Hitachi and Sharp LCD. If Hitachi does not win at an angle, black levels and response time, one can say what is partial. By the way, I’m not a Hitachi LCD. But his review at least let me be aware of this television much less publicized and nuclear technology. If you do not understand that advertising is playing a sucker, I have to feel sorry for you. By the way, this TV listed here at Amazon does not have an HDMI connection. I’m fine with that, currently, as DVI is the same, except no sound. I’m ready to buy a DVI-HDMI cable if needed. But I would not change a cable of $ 25 for performance, right? Not to mention that electricity has a swivel! ** I just learned that Hitachi has made a change in performance on this TV since 2006. The 37HDL52A (adding a note at the end) has an HDMI input instead of DVI. ** Ironicaly in Japan, Hitachi has a recognition of much larger market of Sharp. Rating: 3 / 5
Summary: Forget the ad. What I learned through my research and many years of experience in the semiconductor industry has boiled to this: the difference is LCD making methodology is by far the main reason for the quality of LCD images. Sharp TFT LCD method is to do, Sony (the much publicized Bravia line) and Samsung use S-PVA. Hitachi, LG / Philips, syntax, Dell, Westinghouse and others use S-IPS. Based on the results of the test, In-Plane Switching) S-IPS (Super is simply the best choice ever. TFT has been totally outclassed by S-IPS display angels, response time and black level. S-IPS technology originally developed by Hitachi and later licensed to LG / Philips, Zenith, Syntax and some others. After spending years in the semiconductor industry in Asia and has traveled often to Boston, I understand the S-IPS pretty well. I thought which is only a matter of finding a set and do a quick comparison side-by-side. I watched both LG and Syntax LCDs. Both corners slightly better than the Sharp LCD, which greatly improved and the manipulation of objects rapid movement, esp. around the image edges at high speed. I still find the definition of the edges of objects moving at high speed Sharp LC-37D40U. But my frustration started with the black levels of LG and syntax that is disappointing to say the least, and not doing a great Sharp LC-37D40U. a syntax is horrible compared to show the low gray scales (conventionally called black levels). I could not see all the details in a thin dark objects such as textures of dark clothing and shadows of the trees. Everything I have is this fuzzy darkness. LG is one of the side so over the top. The pictures are so hard and feel like they are “yelling” at you. It has the naturalism of color and tone of human skin is far away (the red touch of human faces is unbearable). Eventually I asked a friend in the business of television, he told me to watch the sender S-IPS, Hitachi. After doing some reading on their site, I was very ‘32HDLX51 Hitachi Director Series because of its AS-IPS (Advanced Super In-Plane Switching), cream of the crop, but I need a size larger than 32 “. I decided to go to 37HDL52. It took some time to find one in a local shop (but I bought it online, why not?) because it is not sold in any national chain stores like Best Buy or Circuit City. 37HDL52 beat this 37-inch Sharp hands down in all aspects of the performance picture via S-IPS TFT should top. But what really helps me close the deal is its ability to display black levels. I challenge any serious buyer to find an LCD can do better black levels of this line of Hitachi LCD. I have not found one. In a side note, I believe Hitachi made a stupid mistake to license its technology to companies that did not fully exploit all the strength of S-IPS. Last but not least, what concerns me greatly is the key specifications by Sharp as a contrast ratio of 1200:1 and viewing angles of 176 degrees angle. Well, are not even close my eyes naked. What is the best esp 120 degree viewing angle. changed color. Rating: 3 / 5
This is my water and a 37-inch Panasonic plasma TV. Good as the Sharp is not as bright and exciting as Panasonic, which sometimes seems almost 3d. I waited about three months to take my final decision, but the plasma wins. . Rating: 3 / 5
TV broke 3 weeks ago. Sharp does not have a return policy. Now, suffering through the repair process. I deeply regret this purchase. Rating: 1 / 5
I am very happy with the equipment, but not so much with the reception that probably is not the fault Sharp. The image is clearly less cool than my series of tubes, Sony, and I put on DirecTV, which assures me that is not due to a weak signal. Rating: 4 / 5
