(Description) I have owned Sony XBR5 recent years, and quite satisfied. It ‘pretty good with standard and high definition programming and sound quality is not bad. Got Z5100 as my second TV and had high expectations into account the specifics of this. But do not meet. Sony completely lost det.Z5100 picture is rather sharp / bright compared to XBR5 moving objects, but are not regular, and after watching for a few weeks still its annoying. They tried all possible options that are offered in various locations, there is no help. Programming contents/1080p PS3 blu-ray is fine, but everything else sucks – 480, 720, 1080i.Jeg lot streaming (Netflix / Amazon VOD / YouTube /…) And all these contents have the same problem could support. Nogle that this is not the fault of TV and love input signals. But at this point you can only get 1080p gaming / blu-ray. And 90% of the residual content is still SD/720/1080i Z5100 and can not play. Z5100 is a bad job up-convert everything to its native resolution – 1080p.I Ultimately, my XBR5 two years old can handle both SD / HD signals well. A particular helped me make my decision final, thanks. We have a limited discretion, so I chose 46 inches. That’s perfect. We have not yet on our HD Direct TV and the picture is still excellent. We did not have a HD DVD player or a Blue Ray. We have a small Sony DVD player and most of our DVD still seems good, although playing in 480p. This information is only for those of you who like me probably felt like you had to have it all at once. You do not. The Z series is the best of all, and my husband loves it. There are many features that come with this version a man will appreciate. So if you are looking for a Christmas gift for your husband this is great for the price. Not to say that you will love forever, since all my male friends were shocked a woman would buy a product for a man and do it really well! Also for reasons of comparison, my brother has a Samsung 55-inch LED. It ‘good to her room, but I do not like the brilliance of Samsung. nice photo of course. He paid for it and I paid three thousand one thousand three hundred something for our Sony Bravia. Budget wise Sony Bravia Z-Series is a perfect price. I will wait till the LED for that crash. All our speakers, receiver and all that is Sony and Sony like my husband. Amazon has the best prices for almost everything.
